Currently adjusting to her new life with the Marauders, Adira has come to enjoy the freedom. In her birth gang she felt very restricted and very much unwanted. In her new home she is able to express herself in all sorts of way and the new found relationship with her father is wonderful.
As she grows and her loyalty to her new gang is formed, she will show a protective side. She will tend to welcome those who don't come from a traditional background and make friends with those outcasts because she is one as well. One moment that will determine her future is any moment her Gangmates lives are on the line. She will so ferocity when protecting those she cares for.
History: Her story begins before her birth. Her mother was a clever she-cat named Poppy. Her father a different story, he was a mighty warrior from the Marauder Gang, Beowulf the Strong. The story of how the two felines isn't anything profound. Poppy saw Beowulf as a decent mate and encouraged him to be her mate, resulting in a litter. Poppy bore two kits, Patches and Stripes. Patches took after her mother with beautiful calico pelt and most white body, her brother taking after their father, being tabby and larger. They were so named by their mother and were both well nourished by her.
When the time to open their eyes came, Poppy was shocked to see her daughter's eyes. Mix-matched like her father's eyes. A fellow queen gave her own two sense, stating that Patches wouldn't be a good scavenger, too much marauder in her. Poppy hushed the queen before caring for her daughter the best she could.
However, that other queen's words proved to be correct. Patches once given a little more freedom became too much to handle. She would play too loudly, ask too many questions the Boss often told Poppy to keep her daughter in check, creating a rift between mother and daughter. Poppy wasn't a cold mother and wanted her daughter to be happy, not stifled. Stripes on the other hand remained a keen scavenger cat, methodical and intent on her learning by watching instead of opening his mouth.
Just after turning five moons old, Patches was woken up in the middle of the night by her mother. She opened her mouth to ask questions but was quickly silenced by her mother. Patches was instructed to follow her silently, she nodded her head and followed after her.
It was long a tiring journey for the young she-cat and further than she ever expected. It wasn't until she felt like she couldn't walk again did they reach their destination. Poppy lead her daughter and for the first time the young she-kit tasted damp riverside air. On the surface she was overwhelmed by all the sights and sounds but was quickly lead to a group of towering cats, all far too big to be scavengers.
"This is the daughter of Beowulf the Strong, I wish to give her to him."
Patches was confused and scared but from the back of the group of cats emerged a powerful and towering tabby tom. His mix-matched eyes matched her own and in that instant she found a connection. There wasn't an exchange of words between her mother and father but a simple nod. Poppy nudged her daughter and licked her ears before turning to head back. Patches called out to her before a heavy paw pulled her close.
"What is your name kit?" The tom asked meeting her sad eyes with his stern but caring ones.
"I'm Patches," She replied, holding back he fear.
"You will forget that name and be known as Adira, after my sister who took the final leap many moons ago." Adira nodded but remained still overwhelmed. Beowulf nudged her before taking the lead back to the Marauders home and to her new life.
