Glass Shards are what we call the currency here on UW. You can use Glass Shards to buy special items for your character or account from our Site Shop Inventory or to commission other members to make art, graphics, or whatever else they might be offering.
How does one obtain Glass Shards? There are quite a few ways. The most common is simply by posting. Every RP post you make earns you 2 Glass Shards and every RP thread you start earns you 5 Glass Shards. The more posts you make, the more Glass Shards you collect. OOC posts do not earn you Glass Shards, only roleplaying posts.
You also earn Glass Shards for reaching certain milestones as a member, accomplishing certain things in RP, and doing things to help the site. However, you must post in the Prize Claim board in order to have the awarded amount added to your account.

As mentioned above, another way to earn Glass Shards is by taking commissions from other members. You make something for them and they pay you with Glass Shards. You set your own prices! You can set up your own shop in the Member Market.
The final way to earn Glass Shards is through contests. We will hold official advertising contests every few months which will have Glass Shard prizes, on top of the potential to earn you referral Glass Shards as well. We might also hold other random contests from time to time which will have Glass Shard prizes and even normal members can hold contests if they want to give away their own Glass Shards as a prize. You may also get Glass Shards from random site events.

Member Milestones
- Make your first character: 5 GS

- Reach 100, 200, 300, etc. posts: however many hundred you've reached divided by 10. (10 for 100, 20 for 200, etc.)
- It's your birthday: 25 GS
- You've been a member for X number of years: 25 GS x the number of years you've been a member (25 for 1 year, 50 for 2 years, etc.)
- Win an OTM title: 25 GS for member of the month, 10 GS for character and relationship of the month, 5 GS for thread and quote of the month. (These will be added to your account without you having to post to claim them.)
Help Out
- Point out a spelling/grammar mistake in official site information threads or in boards (PM me directly, linking to the post in question and copy/paste the sentence in which the mistake happens as it is and as it should be!): 5 GS
- Make a character from the Needed List: 10 GS
- Adopt a character: 10 GS
- Refer a member: 25 GS
The member must name you as their referrer and remain on the site for 2 weeks, make a character, and have at least 1 RP post before you may claim it. - Participate in a major site plot thread: 15 GS (you must make a minimum of three posts within the thread in order to claim this)
- Make a suggestion that gets implemented: (payment varies based upon the suggestion)
- Found a Gang: 50 GS
- Suggest a new RP board that gets added: 25 GS
IC Accomplishments
- Your Kit becomes an Apprentice: 5 GS
- Your Apprentice becomes a Warrior: 5 GS
- Your character becomes a Healer: 10 GS
- Your character becomes the General: 10 GS
- Your character becomes the Boss: 10 GS
- Your character gets an apprentice: 5 GS
- Your character has kits: 5 GS
