Founding A New Gang

It is possible here at UW to make your very own Gang, however there are some requirements you must pass in order to be eligible to create your own Gang, and some steps to follow if you are eligible.


Requirements

• You must have at least 250 posts and have been a member for at least 6 months in order to found a new Gang.
• The people who will be playing the Boss and Underboss of the new gang must not already play a Boss or Underboss character, or kill off/step down their Boss or Underboss character, before you start the new Gang.
• The character founding the Gang must have been around for at least 3 months.
• There must not already be 10 Gangs with active Founders in existence.
  

Gang Creation Steps (Must be done in this order!)

1. Concept Approval. Your Gang must be suitably unique; it should not be a copy of any of the other Gangs currently in existence. While it can certainly share similarities, it should stand out as unique among them. If you cannot come up with a unique concept for a Gang, you will not be allowed to start one. If you ever have a concept for a new Gang you hope to make (even if you're not yet eligible to start one), you MUST PM it to Zen for approval. She will be more than happy to work with you on turning your concept into an acceptable Gang if approval is not initially given. Only Zen can approve Gang concepts.

2. Recruit Members. You must have at least 4 other adult characters, played by 4 different people, committed to joining your new Gang. One of these 4 must be a Healer character or a loner/rogue/kittypet with advanced healing knowledge. You must have had at least one thread with all of these characters, discussing the founding of the new Gang and getting their agreement to join. Each character must post a minimum of 3 times in these threads in order for them to count.

3. Final Approval. You must complete a write-up of the Gang's details, thoroughly filling out all information that is found in the original 4 Gangs' information threads. For Lore, you will simply describe the Founding of your Gang, including why your character decided to found it (your Gang will be brand new and will have no other Lore yet). Your write-up must be PM'd to Zen and approved. Again, she will be more than happy to work with you on getting the details properly filled out if they are not initially acceptable.

4. Claim Territory. After getting final approval for your Gang, PM Zen with your choice of a Territory from the Claimable Territory list below, or with details for new Territory of your own creation. Your Gang's Territory must have a main board, a base sub-board, 2 specific places in your territory sub-boards, and 1 or 2 station sub-boards. Claimable Territories will all require you to create your own base sub-board, but some might require you to make other sub-boards as well. You must send all board information you need to create to Zen for approval and creation.

5. Congratulations, you started a Gang! Zen will create all necessary boards and threads for your Gang, and you will be free to start playing cats as members of it. Others may start creating cats to join the Gang. However, should you ever leave the site, your Gang may be disbanded at any time in order to free up territory for the creation of a new Gang with an active Founder.
